The Role of Mentalizing in Pragmatic Inference for Word Retention: An fMRI Study

Abstract

Mentalizing abilities correlate with better retention for words mapped via their use in neurotypical individuals. However, whether this stems from the consideration of the perspectives of others or the increased complexity of initial ambiguity resolution is unknown. Is the mentalizing network engaged during word learning across neurotypes and does it link to memory outcomes? Find out in our poster!
